Ides Of March
Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 08:44AM | It's the ides of March and no prophecy has been fulfilled and no one is going to die in this update. Just a quick thank you to everyone who came out to the Knitting Factory show last Monday. It was a pleasure to open the show for Frank Turner. I was also overwhelmed by the response of those in attendance. If you picked up my album, said "hello", tossed me a compliment or bought me a beer... Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Next week I have a busy weekend booked in Asbury Park, NJ. After I get done working on guitars at Russo Music all week, I'll be going into Little Eden Studios with Pete Steinkopf from The Bouncing Souls to record my third album. The only thing I can reveal about it at the moment is that it will be a solo recording, as in no band. For the past year I've been riding around playing shows here and there without a band and it's time to have an album reflect that time.
Next Saturday (3/24) at Asbury Lanes, I will be opening a show for Kevin Seconds, Kepi Ghoulie, and Franz Nicolay. If you're into acoustic-punk-rock-dude shows, then this show is for you!
I've got one more acoustic-dude show to announce, but I've got to wait to tell you. When I see that tumble weed go by and hear the voice of Sam Elliot to say, "Go on son, tell the people what you got", I'll let you know.
